It began with a legend: Our great-grandfather, 'El Capitán' Luis Jácome, who ventured to these untamed islands with little more than a knife and a dream.
1956His son Rodrigo, captivated by the tales, followed. He became one of the first naturalist guides, dedicating his life to protecting the Galápagos Marine Reserve.
1999Then came a new passion: to craft the Islands' finest coffee. He faced scorching sun and impossible logistics. The dream was incredible, but the cost was crushing. It was about to be lost.
2010We created Blue Iguana to rescue that dream. To honor a family legacy and share a piece of our island's soul with you. This coffee is our story.
